We often try to have as little fats and oil as possible, be it in salads, or with other veggie dishes 🥗.
Actually some nutrients are better absorbed when paired with adequate amounts of fat! These are fat-soluble vitamins & compounds! Beta-carotene, found in carrots, is one of them! Beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A, plays an important role in our immune function. Very important at times like now 😷.
Enjoy your carrots 🥕 dipped in hummus, made from chickpeas, tahini (healthy fat!) and your choice of natural seasoning, say garlic, black pepper, lemon juice... go nuts 🥜 .
